PROTECTOR PR 13 GW
The Protector PR 13 GW binding with Full Heel Release (FHR) technology offers maximum safety thanks to constant release values in forward and especially backward turning falls, thus ensuring less stress on the knees and safer skiing.
Thanks to Power Rail technology, the Protector PR 13 GW can be mounted on all skis with pre-mounted PR Base.
As a nod to its namesake, the Porsche 8 Series handles different snow conditions with power and a luxurious feel. All-mountain cruisers looking for a unique pair of skis will find a fast, stable and smooth ride thanks to a race-inspired construction, which includes a Worldcup sandwich layup, a full woodcore, carbon and Titanal®. The Porsche 8 Series features HEAD's innovative EMC technology, designed to reduce vibrations and increase stability. EMC The HEAD EMC (Energy Management Circuit) features ceramic piezo plates incorporated into the front and rear of the ski. Here, the kinetic energy is converted into electronic energy and in turn, the electronic energy is used to absorb negative vibrations. Compania a fost fondata in Baltimore, Maryland in 1950 de catre Howard Head, dupa ce a fost intr-o excursie la schi si a fost uimit sa vada ca schiurile lui au fost facute din lemn intr-o epoca in care metalele si materialele plastice inlocuiau multe modele de produse din lemn. Head lucra la constructia de fuselaje de avioane si el a simtit ca acelasi material ar putea face o pereche de schi ideala. Dupa doi ani de munca constanta a realizat un design care nu numai ca a functionat, dar a facut dramatic mai usor orice viraj.
Compania a devenit rapid foarte de succes. In termen de cativa ani a fost principalul furnizor de schiuri alpine din SUA, iar mai tarziu si-a diversificat domeniul de activitate si cu alte sporturi ca tenisul. Head Howard a vandut compania pentru AMF in 1969 si sa retras. Dupa o serie de preluari si achizitii, HEAD, NV are sediul in prezent in Amsterdam, Olanda.
